Poster Marketplace Frequently Asked Questions

1. I have many items to list. Is there any alternative to listing them one at a time?

There is an easier way! If you are entering a lot of new data at once, we have a simpler solution. Rather than enter each item individually, you can use your favorite word processor or database program to generate a tab-delimited text file and e-mail it to us. This is the recommended procedure if you have a lot of listings, you'll save lots of time. There is an extra charge of $5.00 (one time charge) for this service. Simply e-mail us the complete file (as an attached file to your e-mail), and make certain it is in the following format:

Poster Name

Type

YearYear

Star

Info

Price

Graphic Link

THERE MUST BE A TAB BETWEEN EACH FIELD, AND A C/R BETWEEN RECORDS
For proper conversion, the above fields should be submitted. Do not add extra fields. We suggest you send us a 'trial run' before e-mailing your entire list. We'll let you know if it works.

2. How do I link a picture to my listing?

A graphic or picture can be linked to your listing. This is the field known as "Graphic Link." All graphics are stored on a server of your choice, or at your current website or FTP site. You simply download your graphics to your particular server and then provide the URL in the "Graphic Link" field. For example, let's say you store your images on your website called 'mysite.com'. You have a picture of the "Frankenstein" poster you are selling. You store the picture on your local server (mysite.com) to the particular directory 'Pix'. You call the file "Frank.gif". So, in the Graphic Link field, you'd link to that item thusly: http://www.mysite.com/pix/Frank.gif

If you are having problems with this, email us, we will help you out.
